Afforestation of the desert

We are doing a lot of work on afforestation and reforestation in new deserts, semi-deserts and degraded landscapes. We are engaged in desert afforestation and reforestation to maintain and preserve biodiversity, as well as to stabilize the climate on our planet Earth.

We select a site for afforestation

The afforestation site must meet the following criteria: it is part of a desert or degraded land; the selected site is not used for agricultural purposes; the region is sparsely populated or there is an outflow of population due to loss of food.

Afforestation can provide people with water

In order for the forest to develop in the future, we coordinate our intentions with the government of the country where afforestation is planned, and invite the local population to participate.

Soil survey

We inspect the site for the presence and depth of groundwater. We determine what needs to be done to raise the level of groundwater to the required minimum. For proper afforestation, we determine the timing of precipitation

Species composition of the forest

In cooperation with scientists, we are developing the species composition of the forest, the time and plan for planting seedlings. We determine the possibility of the appearance of animals that are not currently in the selected territory and how these animals can affect the young forest.

We create water landscapes

Cascades of small ponds and dams, artificial pits and swales significantly increase the penetration of rainwater into the soil

Plant trees for afforestation

Planting and caring for trees when creating a forest is a serious job that requires constant attention and effort. Depending on the constancy of moisture in the soil, we decide on the use of additional means of seedling support.

Participation
in the project

To implement the project, we will need financial assistance, assistance from professionals and volunteers. We also invite the local population to participate to collect information about the area, plant and animal species and organize supplies.
